DeKalb County School District will assign a Chromebook to students in grades 6th–12th for use during the academic year (SY 2019 –2020). Chromebooks remain the property of DCSD and must be returned upon withdrawal from District and/or end of year collection process. Parents and students are required to read, sign, and follow the guidelines withinthe user agreement, as well as all school, classroom, and School District policiesand procedures regarding behavior and technology use.
Please click the following link to print & sign the user agreement. Parents and students must sign and return this agreement before a device can be issued. Students can start turning in their signed forms to their homeroom teacher to receive their Chromebook, beginning Monday, Aug. 15th. However, chromebooks will not be distributed until after Labor Day. See distribution schedule in next paragraph.

6th grade - TBD - there is a shortage of chromebooks and we want to be sure the entire grade level is issued chromebooks at one time.
There is no mandatory insurance fee for Chromebooks this year. However, optional insurance plans are available. For optional insurance plans, please go to the following link:
If any portion of the Chromebook (charger, bag, the Chromebook itself) was missing when the student turned it in last May, a replacement must be purchased before a new Chromebook may be issued this year.
