Letter from the Principal

Welcome to Peachtree Middle School ~ Home of the Patriots!


It is my privilege and honor to serve as the Principal of Peachtree Middle School. I was born and raised by Puerto Rican parents in Orlando, FL where I was taught the value of perseverance, hard work, and determination. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education - Biology. My love for learning and teaching brought me back to UCF for a Master of Education in Educational Leadership while I taught middle school science and later, high school science. A wonderful mentor facilitated the transition to leadership and I became a discipline dean in Orlando at a prominent high school. Soon life brought me to Atlanta, where I became the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Peachtree Middle. My love for this school, our staff and our community propelled me to consider the Principal position. Here I am today!

Our goal at Peachtree is to educate the whole child and to instill in our students a love for learning which celebrates their creativity, innovation, and culture. We are a community of learners in a welcoming, clean, safe, and student-centered environment.
Student achievement is the heart and soul of our work here at Peachtree. Collaboration has allowed our teachers to develop a program that exemplifies high academic standards through the use of appropriate standards-based materials and research-based instructional strategies. Our experienced staff maintains a focus on student mental health, differentiated instruction and rigorous content.
 
Parent and community involvement is vital to our success at Peachtree. Through ongoing communication with our PTSO, PAC, classrooms and our weekly newsletter, we are confident that Peachtree Middle will continue to be an outstanding school that promotes academic and social-emotional growth for all of our students. We encourage our parents, community members and local businesses to partner with us as we educate, motivate, and challenge our future leaders. It is the greatest investment you will ever make.
